(West Salem, WI) – This Saturday Night is an action packed night full of Short Track Stock Car Racing, featuring the stars and cars of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series!

Altra Federal Credit Union presents all the action and excitement of TWO 20 lap Features for the Tobacco Outlet Plus Late Models, plus the thrills of the weekly warriors – the Dean’s Satellite & Security Sportsmen, and the Auto Value Thunderstox! It’s also the first race of the year for the Auto Value Street Stocks on the tight quarter mile track.

Plus! Bring out the kids early and sign them up for a ride in a race car around the 5/8th mile track! Sign them up at the Souvenir Stand between 6:00 and 6:50. The KQ98.3 FM Kids’ rides will take place at the turn four grandstand gate right after the conclusion of Qualifying.

The last time racing took to the track it was Ty Majeski leading the field at the checkers. However, the win did not come easy, as he had to beat a field of 30 Late Model cars and drivers, that also featured a B-Feature race. Names unfamiliar to the local racing scene, in conjunction with familiar names all challenged Majeski and defending track champion Steve Carlson. Tony Leis, Jacob Goede, Nick Panitzke, and Corey Jankowski were just a few of the many drivers that were fast on opening night. Expect additional challengers like Cole Howland, Adam Degenhardt and Rookie Devin Schmidt to be added to that list this week in search of that first place finish. There’s TWO Chances this week, totaling 40 laps of feature racing. Don’t Miss it!

This Saturday Night, the first 500 fans get a FREE collectors magnet! General Admission is $13.50, Students age 12-17 are $7.50, and Kids age 6-11 are $3. Children age 5 & under are always Free. Gates open at 6:00, qualifying starts at 6:15 and the first race takes the green flag at 7:30.
