A late season snow storm has forced the cancellation of the events scheduled for the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway today, April 1st, 2011. Although the snow was melting rapidly, Speedway Officials decided that the weather was too poor to continue with the scheduled event. “We’ll just have to wait to get things rolling on the 23rd” stated Speedway Director of Competition Ray Loughan. Loughan was referring to the Speedways’ 2011 season opening event.

The season opener will feature the NASCAR Kwik Trip Late Models, North Country Contractors, United Auto Supply Thunderstox and the popular second over the line wins Novelty event. The first race is slated to start at 7:30 pm.

“We had nothing scheduled for today and…..we were forced to cancel it….I will be able to work on my preparations for another great year of racing” expressed Loughan. “I don’t believe it. This kind of stuff happens around the first of April each year and I will be ready for the fun and excitement on the 23rd” he added.
