WEST SALEM, WI (July 18, 2017) – It’s the 127th annual LaCrosse Interstate Fair this Wednesday through Sunday, and three events will be ready for fans, including Friday night Street Drags, Saturday’s NASCAR Weekly Racing, and Sunday’s WCEC Car Show.
STREET DRAGS FRIDAY
This Friday night, it’s Round III of Street Drags, as Jeff’s Auto & Cycle Repair in LaCrosse Presents the fun! Join us to watch the Fast, The Furious and the Finishes of brackets of Street Car drag racing. You can be the star of the night, in one of the many brackets of competition. From Pickup Trucks to the Open Class, Cycles or ATV’s, Muscle Cars to Tuners, there’s likely a bracket that your vehicle will be able to race in!
Plus, there’s of course the popular burnout contest, and the shine n’ show contest on the quarter mile track. There’s fun for all, so bring a friend!
General Admission in the grandstands is $7, Kids age 11 & under are FREE.
Pit Passes for ALL Ages are $7, and registration to compete in a bracket is $10 per bracket for this Fairtime Special Event. Gates open at 6:00, Practice Runs / Grudge Matches at 6:45 and the First Bracket is at 7:30.

NASCAR RACING SATURDAY; Double LM 20 Lap Features
Then on Saturday night, the short track warriors take to the LaCrosse Area’s only paved racing arena, as Budweiser presents the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action.
The racing gets underway at 7:30 and will feature all the action of the Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery NASCAR Late Models, Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen, and the Auto Value Parts Stores Thunderstox.
The ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornets will join the weekly warriors, and thrill the Fair Fans with their Fast cars on the quarter mile track. And the annual “Fairtime Twin 20’s” – where the NASCAR Late Models will race in TWO Feature Races of 20 Laps each. Want Racing? It’s all here! Want Fun Times? We have that too.
Bring the kids early, and sign them up for a ride around the track in a stock car! Sign up at the Souvenir Trailer from 6:00 until 6:45. Rides begin right after qualifying.
Gates open at 6:00, qualifying starts at 6:00, kids’ rides right after qualifying (approx. 7:00) and the first race begins at 7:30.
General Admission is $12.50, Students (Age 12-17) are $6.50, Kids (Age 6-11) are $3 and children age 5 & under are always FREE. Acres of free parking are readily available when you arrive!
3rd Annual WCEC Car Show this Sunday afternoon
This Sunday, July 23rd, the Wisconsin Car Enthusiast Club will be hosting various automotive activities throughout the day including, but not limited to: Dyno runs, Exhaust Competition, Car Limbo Competition, and Burnout Competition. The event begins at Noon and goes until 5:00 p.m.
Food, Vendors, Music, and More will be available throughout the day as we enjoy some of the cleanest cars LaCrosse has to offer on the racetrack!
Basic Package (Pre-registration): $20.00 – Includes acceptance into exhaust competition, burnout competition, car limbo competition, racetrack parking space, entry into random giveaway.
*Does not include dyno participation*
Deluxe Package (Pre-Registration): $40.00 – Includes premium parking, high resolution photo of your vehicle, acceptance into exhaust competition, burnout competition, car limbo competition, racetrack parking space, entry into random giveaway and Deluxe giveaway.
