Open Practice this Thursday Night
The next on-track activity is on Thursday evening, May 5th. Open practice is for any division of racing at the track. Pits will open at 4:45 and practice will run from 5:00 until 7:00.
Drags next Friday Night
The next event on the Speedway’s 2016 calendar will be Friday the13th, for Premier Powdercoating Street Drags. It’s the first time out for all the fun, so be sure to get the car shined up and let your friends know to meet you there. Gates open at 6:00, Practice runs at 6:45 and the first bracket starts at 7:30.
Oval Track Weekly Racing Resumes Next Saturday
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action resumes on Saturday night, May 14th, as Whelen presents the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen, Auto Value Thunderstox, ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornets and the Auto Value Street Stocks. Plus, kids can ride in a race car during the KQ98 Kids’ Cruiser Night before the races begin. Qualifying at 6:15, the first race takes the green at 7:30.

2016 Souvenir Yearbooks
The 2016 Souvenir Yearbook is headed to press and will be available to the fans on Saturday night May 14th! Be sure to pick up a copy at the Souvenir Stand. The book has lots of articles by special Guest Columnists, and information for the fans about this season. Plus, included is up-to-date drivers’ lists from the Frostbuster Race, as it went to press!
Highway 16
Construction of the project is moving along well. Crews have already completed the excavation of the Nathan Hill pass-through and are starting to form up the new lanes on both sides of the pass.
THE CLOSURE OF HWY 16 WILL BEGIN TUESDAY, MAY 10th. Highway 16 will be closed between West Salem and Onalaska until the end of July.
Remember if you’re coming from the LaCrosse / Onalaska area to get on I-90 at Exit 3 or 5 and use the West Salem Exit #12. Follow the frontage road west (Cty C / Buol Road) and Turn Northbound on M, to head straight to the track.
