May 14, 2014 (West Salem, WI) – This Saturday night, Pischke Motors of LaCrosse and West Salem presents the opening race of the 2014 racing season at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series’ only paved weekly racing oval in Wisconsin will feature four action packed divisions of competition.
The Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models and Coca-Cola Grand National Sportsmen will thunder around the five-eighths mile, while the warriors of the quarter mile, the United Auto Supply Thunderstox, and the ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornets, will all fulfill your need for speed, excitement and racing action.
PLUS! The annual Queen Bees Race – a race for ladies PLUS! A Second over the line wins novelty race!
PLUS! Bring out the kids early for pre-race kids’ rides in the race cars at 6:45. Sign up for a ride at the Souvenir Stand before 6:45; space is limited!
Raceday Schedule for Saturday, May 17th
Pit area opens at 3:30
Practice laps start at 4:45.
Grandstand gates open at 6:00
Qualifying will start at 6:15
The first green flag will wave at 7:30 p.m.
General Admission is $12, Students age 12-17 with a student I.D. are $6, Kids age 11 & under are FREE!

Premier Powdercoating Street Drags a Hit
The first Street Drags of the 2014 season took place on Friday, May 9th.
There were nearly 200 participants to take runs down the speedway’s main stretch dragstrip. New brackets welcomed the racers and there were many new class winners.
The next event on the Street Drags Calendar is Friday, June 13th.
