DAY TWO OF OKTOBERFEST RAINED OUT

Oktoberfest Race Weekend Officials have made the decision to cancel Friday night’s racing action at the 48th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin.

The Super Late Models Dick Trickle 99 presented by JE Pistons will be canceled for the first time in the 11-year history of the event. The Super Late Models will now prepare for to qualify on Saturday for Sunday’s Oktoberfest 200.

The Midwest Trucks will have their feature race on Saturday night and the Mid-American Stock Car Series will race their feature event on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier today, the Pet Costume parade was held in the Exhibition Hall. The “Shot Gun Wedding” theme dogs won the best overall in the parade. “La Crosse Speedway Zoo” won the Best Homemade award. The “Bud Light Guy/Girl and Dog” won the best themed costume. The Best-Behaved awards went to “E.T. and Elliott” and “Soda Cans.”

Day three of the 48th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend will get underway with qualifying at 2pm on Saturday afternoon and racing starting at 5pm. The ARCA Midwest Tour, Big 8 Late Model Series, Midwest Dash Series and Great Northern Sportsmen Series will be in action. The ARCA Midwest Tour will have preliminary races for Sunday’s Oktoberfest 200. The Big 8 Series will have a 68-lap feature while the Great Northern Sportsmen Series will have a 25-lap main event. The Midwest Dash Series will have a 20-lap feature.
