Recapping Last Week:
The Tobacco Outlet Plus NASCAR Late Model points battle is neck and neck as leader Steve Carlson kept the pressure on Nick Panitzke by winning the feature over Panitzke in second and padding his points lead to 14. Jerimy Wagner’s Blue and Gree #18 Late Model blew its engine on the frontstretch during the Dash and sent him spinning into the turn one wall with a hard impact. Wagner was uninjured.
The Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen was a memorable night, as both point leaders ran into problems. Midway during the feature, Brad Warthan was on the outside of Shawn Lockington for the lead when the two touched, sending both into the turn one wall. The impact sent Lockington’s car onto its side before returning to all four wheels on the ground. Warthan’s battered car was repaired by the assistance of many other race teams and he was able to complete the feature. Point leader Randy Humfeld ran into trouble a couple times but battled back to finish strong and add three points to his lead over Warthan.
Last Week Brad Warthan brought his battered race car to a 7th place finish after a mid-race wreck.
Kaleb Hardy took the Auto Value Thunderstox Feature for his first win of 2017 as did Chris Sampson in the Auto Value Street Stocks. Jason Bolster took the top prize in the Subway Restaurants Outlawz class.
