REEDY TAKES HOME FIRST FEATURE WIN EVER AT LA CROSSE SPEEDWAY

(West Salem, WI – August 5, 2017) On a gorgeous summer evening at La Crosse Speedway, fans were treated to two first’s as the Late Model and Sportsmen winners both had first time feature wins.

Ty Reedy of Holmen, WI takes home his first Late Model feature win ever in the Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery Late Model feature tonight at La Crosse Speedway. He claimed the number 1 spot right off the green flag and stayed there until the checkered flag flew. Brent Kirchner fought his way from sixth to finish second in the feature and Ty Majeski of Seymour made his way to third from his 14th place start.

Dakota Miller was running in the top spot in the Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen feature for the first 9 laps, but after a caution, Nathan Borchardt claimed the top spot for a couple laps until caution number 2 flew. New Prague, MN’s Adam Oxborough brought the field out of the second caution and stayed there until the checkered flag flew claiming his first feature win ever. Steve Bachman finished the feature second and Randy Humfeld finished third.

Mindoro’s Kayla Lockington started off the Auto Value Thunderstox feature in the top spot and could stay there until lap 7 when Bill Schott of Tomah would take over the lead. Schott however was unable to hold the top spot until the checkered flag flew, as Adam Moore would take the lead away for the final time during the race with 3 laps to go. Moore would stay there to pick up his 6th feature win of the year. Kaleb Hardy would cross the finish line second and Kyle Lockington in third.

Mike Peters took the early race lead in the Mountain Dew Mini-Van feature, but would only hold it until lap 9 when John Clauson took it away from him. Matt Moore took the lead on lap 12 and could fight through the lap-13 caution to take home the feature win. Mike Peters finished second and Andy Moore third.

Tyler Mickschl in his Scooby Doo van remake took home the Trailer Race of Destruction win as fans cheered the loudest for him. Buzz Perez was a close second.

The next event on the Speedway calendar Friday, August 11 for Street Drags where there will be bracket racing, shine n’ show, and a burnout contest.
