MOTHER NATURE DOESN’T PLAY NICE FOR FANS ON BUCK NIGHT

By: Aspen Andre
(West Salem, WI – May 27, 2017) For the second time in 2017, the LaCrosse Speedway saw an influx of Tobacco Outlet Plus Late Models, all ready to concur the 5/8 mile, but due to a heavy band of rain showers those drivers will have to wait another week.

Before the rains came, the Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen and the Late Models did get qualifying in. Tony Leis of Middle Ridge, WI outpaced 10 other Late Model drivers who all qualified under 20 seconds and set quick time with a blistering 19.634 second lap. 25 Late Models qualified. In a rare scene, Sportsmen qualifying saw a tie between Randy Humfeld and Brad Warthan, both with a 21.235 second lap time. But it was Humfeld who was awarded quick time since his first lap was faster than Warthan’s.

The next event on the Speedway calendar is Saturday, June 3 for Altra Federal Credit Union Night where there will be 2 20 lap Late Model Features, Sportsmen, Thunderstox, Street Stocks, kids rides and the first 500 fans get a FREE collectors magnet.
