October 25, 2016 (West Salem, WI) – Officials of LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway today have announced the date and location of the 2016 Champions’ Banquet.
This year’s Champions’ Banquet will be held on Friday night, January 20th, 2017. The event, awarding the competitors and divisional champions of the 2016 season, will take place in Onalaska at the Stoney Creek Inn’s Northwoods Conference Center.
“We tried a December Date last year and although many liked it, we also heard that we should return to our traditional weekend, in late January,” commented Director of Competition Ray Loughan. “It’s a great way to break up the long winter, and the January date gives everyone a chance to see many of their racing friends or competitors for the first time since Oktoberfest,” concluded Loughan.
The doors will open at 6:00, with a social hour, presented by Bud Light. Dinner will take place at 7:00, and the awards presentation will immediately begin following dinner.
Highlights of the evening will be presentation of the 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Track Champions in Late Model, Sportsmen and Thunderstox, plus the Hornets, Street Stocks and Outlawz champions, as well as Dash Champions, Mini Vans, and a Novelty Champion.
Accompanying the LaCrosse Speedway drivers will be the Great Northern Sportsmen Series and the Midwest Dash Series, as they recognize their champions and drivers’ accomplishments of the season.
Tickets will only be available in advance, and will be available starting December 1st. Space is limited to the first 250 guests, and the deadline to get tickets is January 11th.
