POWELL WINS FEATURE NUMBER TWO AT LA CROSSE SPEEDWAY

By: Aspen Andre (West Salem, WI – August 13, 2016)
It was a beautiful night at the La Crosse Speedway tonight for Budweiser Night, where we saw Powell, Clements, Moore, and Stark bring home the checkered flags.

Matthew Henderson was leading the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model feature race until lap 13 when Brad Powell took the lead, and stayed there until the end of lap 25. Steve Carlson took the second place spot from Henderson in lap 23, which put Henderson in third, where he stayed for the remaining 2 laps. This was Powell’s 2nd feature win on the season, and Carlson’s 11th runner up finish.

Lap 12 of 15 in the Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen feature brought us not one, not two, but THREE cautions. After the track was cleared from all the debris, Nick Clements brought us out of the cautions and held the lead until the checkered flag flew. Clements ties his mark from 2015 with this win being his 7th feature win on the season. Can he beat last year’s mark or will he tie it? We will find out when he races only 2 more times in 2016. Steve Bachman finished second and Devin Schmidt, third.

It was all Adam Moore from lap 3 on in the Auto Value Thunderstox feature after he took the lead from Mark Challet. Adam’s brother Andy Moore took second place away from Challet in the last lap of the feature, giving Mark Challet a third place finish.

Jason Stark and Larry Bolster Jr. were back and forth with each other tonight in the Subway Outlawz feature tonight. But it was Jason Stark in the end that crossed the line first, with Larry Bolster Jr and Jason Bolster following him in second and third respectively.

Our next event at the La Crosse Speedway is Saturday, August 20th for Bud Light Night, where we will have two 20 lap Late Model features, Sportsmen, Thunderstox Street Stocks, and Kids Rides.
