LA CROSSE SPEEDWAY FULL OF FUN THIS SATURDAY

Double 20’s for Late Models

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action continues this Saturday night, as Tri-State Ambulance presents all the great action of the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen, Auto Value Thunderstox, and Subway Restaurants Outlawz.

The Late Model drivers are ready to race for 40 laps on Saturday night, the first of three nights that include two 20-Lap Features. The action on the track last Saturday was great, despite some unusually cold May temperatures. The fans that braved the cold saw the return of 2012 Late Model Champion Todd Korish race for the first time in nearly two years. But in the end, it was defending Champion Steve Carlson taking the checkers. Last year Brad Powell and Shawn Pfaff shared the spotlight for the May twin bill. Will we see different winners this weekend? Be there under warm sunny skies to start the evening at 7:30!

Majeski Scores Roush-Fenway Contract
Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model driver Ty Majeski announced on Monday that he has signed a “driver development” contract with NASCAR Sprint Cup Organization Roush-Fenway Racing.

It includes selected ARCA National Series starts this year with Roulo Brothers Racing of Illinois. Majeski has been driving in various Super Late Model races throughout the country since January and is Two-for-Two in the ARCA Midwest Tour this season. He will continue to race in the upper Midwest, including selected LaCrosse Speedway nights.

Part of Majeski’s short-track success can be attributed to his crew chief, Toby Nuttleman, of Bangor, and brother of 10-time Late Model champion Kevin Nuttleman.

It’s a great opportunity for fans to see a future star of motorsports compete right here with all the local stars and cars. Check out a few races this season and you’ll be glad you did!
