MAJESKI COMES FROM 9TH TO WIN FEATURE

By: Stephanie Johnson
(West Salem, WI – June 6, 2015) Ty Majeski, one of the hottest stock car drivers in Wisconsin, earned the checkered flag in winning the Klement’s 25 NASCAR Late Model Feature at LaCrosse Speedway Saturday night.

Travis Christenson and Jason Dummer brought the field to the green flag. On lap 2 Jack Litsheim and Jerimy Wagner pulled away from the pack.

After an early strong run, Wagner broke a sway bar and was relegated to go to the pits.

A 4 car pack of Litsheim, Brad Powell, Ty Majeski and Steve Carlson pulled away from the field and Powell takes the lead.

At the Halfway point, Powell, Majeski and Carlson separated themselves from the rest of the field.

Ty Majeski tried to reel in Powel, but lap traffic didn’t allow for the pass. With 4 laps to go, Majeski did pass Powell coming into turn 4. Powell was unable to make it stick on the outside.

As quoted by Ty Majeski after his feature win: “I like to run flat tracks, and this track suits me well.” Majeski also won his feature race last night in Madison, Wisconsin.

Something hard to do at the La Crosse Speedway is win a feature from the back row, and Nick Clements did just that tonight.

There was a spin on lap 7 involving 3 cars, which brought Brad Warthan and Tony Leis to the front of the field. With 3 laps to go, Leis and Brian Hesselberg were involved in a spin.

A 3 lap shoot out saw Warthan and Nick Clements battle it out to the checkered flag with Clements being the winner.

Jacinda Pfaff took the lead with 8 laps to go and didn’t look back. Andy Moore was trying to hunt down Pfaff but was unable to prevail.

Charles Schwabenbauer held off a late race charge from John Eron to take the checkered flag in the Auto Value Street Stocks Feature.
