Festival Foods presents the Fantastic Five night! Five separate 20-Lap Features will hit the track Saturday night, among three great classes of stock car racing.
Fans will get the chance to see the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Weekly action of the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Grand National Sportsmen and United Auto Supply Thunderstox. But a special treat is on hand, in that they will get to watch the Stars and Cars of the Mid-American Stock Car Series make a rare mid-season visit to the famed 5/8th mile oval.
When Festival Foods Feature time arrives, the Sportsmen cars will run an extended 20 Lap feature, and the Late Models and Mid-American Cars will each race in TWO 20-Lap Features, for a total of 100 green flag laps!
Litsheim Strong in Rookie Year
Late Model Rookie of the Year contender Jack Litsheim sits 10th in overall point standings with four feature races remaining. After spending years in Hornets, Thunderstox and Sportsmen, Litsheim has proven to have the skills to run with the big guns of the Speedway. Don’t be surprised if top five runs are just around the corner for this young gun.
Litsheim has run a clean but strong Late Model season.
Sportsmen Title up for Grabs
Four drivers have a mathematical shot at winning this year’s Grand National Sportsmen title. All are aiming for their first championship. Greg Scheck leads Steve Bachman by just ten points, but a bad race by either could allow Nick Clements (just 30 in arrears) to catch them. Jamie Dummer is just another six behind Clements. Watch this year’s final four races to determine who is our new champ!
Greg Scheck is the Current leader in Sportsmen points.
The season is winding down, and fans only have two chances left to see all the great local stock car racing action on the track, so don’t miss out on all the fun this Saturday night!
