June 19, 2014 (West Salem, WI) – After a week off, the 2014 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is back in action this Saturday night, as ALTRA Federal Credit Union presents the driving excitement of four divisions!
Fans will get to see in action the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Grand National Sportsmen, United Auto Supply Thunderstox and the United Auto Supply Street Stocks.
Plus, more action to take place for the fans’ enjoyment! It’s the first Zimmerman Driving School Figure-8 Race of 2014, right on the front straight.
The drivers in the Late Model, Sportsmen and Thunderstox begin their 10 straight week stretch for the remainder of the 2014 season this Saturday. This is when the contenders are established for the season championships. Will we see someone unseat Steve Carlson as Late Model Champion? Mike Koeneke leads and is looking for his first championship in a Late Model. Brad Powell is looking for his second title and is right behind the two leaders.
A first time champion is inevitable for this season in the Grand National Sportsmen, as Steve Bachman narrowly leads Nick Clements, Greg Scheck and Jamie Dummer. Expect a close battle all season long amongst these hard-chargers.
Jordan Myers and Jason Bolster are tied for the Thunderstox championship battle, but Jason Schaller is just a few points behind. Bolster has won titles before, but Myers and Schaller would like to win their first.
Bring out the friends or family this Saturday night to watch the local starts battle it out at your NASCAR Hometrack. It’s short track racing and fun so close to home!
General Admission is $12, Students age 12-17 with a student I.D. are $6. Kids age 6-11 are $3, while all kids age 5 & under are FREE! Grandstand gate opens at 6:00, and racing gets underway at 7:30.
