West Salem, WI. – Officials from LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway today announced an upcoming promotion with LaCrosse’s Valley View Mall.

“Fans of all ages like to see race cars, and especially see them up close,” commented Valley View Mall Marketing Director, Laurie Cafe. “Valley View Mall retailers are excited to have cars of the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway return next month,” Cafe continued.

In the past, cars were featured over one weekend prior to the opening race. This year, however, a new concept will greet mall visitors and race fans. “We will be having cars throughout much of the month of April, leading up to the opening race day. What’s different though, is that they will change from week to week, so there will be different cars to check out during the first three weekends in April,” concluded Cafe.

Valley View Mall guests will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of cars featured. Included are cars from speedway’s headliner divisions, the Late Models, Sportsmen and Thunderstox. However, on display as well will be a Vintage race car from the past and a Super Late Model from the TUNDRA Series. An Outlawz car, one that doesn’t quite look like a typical stock car in the area, will certainly draw attention as well.

“It gives us an opportunity to showcase our sport, our car, and the hard work we put in to prepare our NASCAR Late Model,” commented driver Matthew Henderson. Kids love to see the cars up close and I’m just glad that mine is one of them. It’s also a great location to show off our race team sponsors that have been supporting us for a long time. Our sponsors get a huge bonus in exposure by the amount of traffic that visits the mall,” concluded Henderson.

The first race of the LaCrosse Speedway season will take place on Sunday afternoon, April 27th, as Budweiser presents the “Frostbuster” event. Weekly racing will begin on Saturday nights starting May 17th and will run through August 23rd.
