LAST WEEK’S ACTION
Fans saw something last week that hasn’t happened yet this season – a pileup of Late Model cars during the feature race. On lap three, the second and third place cars of Matt Inglett and Jerimy Wagner tangled coming out of turn two and Inglett’s car was sent into the backstretch wall, blocking the track, but not before the rest of the field could slow down. Caught up in the melee were Brad Powell, J. Herbst, Todd Korish, Brent Kirchner, Adam Degenhardt, and Matthew Henderson, in a rare appearance of the 2013 season. Korish was able to get back onto the track and finish the race.

Once the dust had settled after a 10 minute red flag, the race resumed as fans saw Bill Niles re-take the green from the front row. Fourth and fifth place restarters Shawn Pfaff and Steve Carlson wasted no time in getting to the front, and the two battled lap after lap until the checkers flew, with Pfaff taking his first feature win in over three years.

Side by side was the game for the Exhaust Plus Sportsmen last weekend. Fifth place starter Greg Scheck fought his way to the second place and by midway, he spent a few laps on the high side in passing Jamie Dummer for the lead. The veteran Scheck took control towards the end and captured the checkers.

Just what could it be that takes place this week? You never know, so check out all of the live unscripted drama and action as it unfolds at the LaCrosse Speedway this Saturday night.

MID-AMERICAN STOCK CAR SERIES TO RACE ON AUGUST 24TH

Just added to the 2013 schedule is a great racing series that normally only visits at the Oktoberfest Race Weekend – the Mid-American Stock Car Series. “The series had a cancellation to their schedule, and they approached the LaCrosse Team to have an event in August,” commented Director of Competition Ray Loughan. “We came to an agreement to have them visit on August 24th, and fans should be treated to a great night of action that also includes our weekly Late Models, Sportsmen, Thunderstox and Outlawz. Plus, it’s Buck Night at the concessions, so fans should be in for a real Treat,” concluded Loughan.
