AMERICAN SUPER CUP SERIES MIXES IT UP WITH THE WEEKLY WARRIORS THIS SATURDAY

July 5, 2013 (West Salem, WI) – Join us at the track this Saturday night, as Dean’s Satellite, your local connection to great DirecTV programming, presents all the racing action. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is now in its second half of the season and it’s time to find out who all the contenders are, not only for wins, but championships.

Steve Carlson leads in the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model division, but young gun Cole Howland is coming off his second win ofthe season and wants to put the pressure on Carlson, the cagey veteran. 2001 Late Model Champ Brad Powell had a strong car all race long and was catching the leaders but time ran out by the end of the feature race. What events will unfold on the track unscripted this Saturday night? Be here to find out!

In addition to the Kwik Trip Late Models, the Exhaust Plus Sportsmen and the United Auto Supply Thunderstox will be back at the track for their third time in eight days, after last week’s racing and the Wednesday night Star Spangled Spectacular.

But wait, there’s more! The American Super Cup Series will be at the track for their visit of the 2013 season. The drivers of these fun and fast mini-cars put on a great race last year and it was something fun that the fans enjoyed. This year’s race should be no different. Brian Baldyga, of Carol Stream, IL currently leads the standings over three drivers that are just five and six points behind.

Parents, be sure to bring out the kids early to the track for the final Subway Fresh Fit for Kids Dash – Box Car Race! It’s a simple and fun project for the kids to work on. Get a cardboard box, cut holes in it for the child’s arms and legs, decorate it like your child’s favorite race car, and bring it and some running shoes on Saturday night!
Be sure to sign up at the back of the race tower before 6:45, as the race will take the green flag around 7:00.

Gates open at 6:00, Qualifying at 6:15 and the first race starts at 7:30. General Admission is $12, Students (age 12-17 with i.d.): $7, Kids (Age 6-11): $3 and Children age 5 & Under are FREE.
