WOW! IT’S BUCK NIGHT AT THE CONCESSIONS THIS SATURDAY

(West Salem, WI – August 22, 2012) This Saturday night, State Bank Financial presents the action of the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, North Country Contractors Sportsmen and United Auto Supply Thunderstox. Speaking of Financial dollars, it’s BUCK NIGHT at the Concessions! That’s Right… All food and beverage items at the food stands are JUST ONE DOLLAR! Sodas? Just $1. Klements Brats? Just $1. Cheese Burgers? Just $1. Beer? Of Course! Just $1.

Plus, the Window World Hornets will be at the track for the second week in a row… a First time ever for that division. The action of the Hornets was thrilling right down to the finish of each race. It should be another great week of Hornet excitement.

Plus… it’s the final Kids’ Box Car Race of the 2012 season. Parents and Kids… it’s easy and fun! Get a cardboard box that fits over your child. Cut holes in the box for the arms, legs and head to fit out. Decorate it to look like your child’s favorite race car with paint, stickers or tape, and bring it out on Saturday night for a running race on the frontstretch around 7:00 before the racing gets underway.

Gates open at 6pm, Qualifying at 6:15 and the first race begins at 7:30. General Admission is just $11, students age 12-17 are $5 and kids age 6-11 are $3. Children age 5 & under are always FREE.

The 2012 season will see its checkered flag soon as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly schedule has just two weeks remaining. Who will take the season championship titles? Will it be 1993 and 2010 champion Shawn Pfaff -or- Todd Korish, who is gunning for his first Late Model Crown? They are separated by just seven points. It’s anyone’s race. Korish has many seasons under his belt and it’s a championship run that keeps him coming back to the track each season.
North Country Contractors Sportsmen division. Jake Arneson was giving his best effort yet versus Randy Humfeld last week. Both were neck and neck for the title, but Arneson was disqualified in post race inspection last week. That leaves Humfeld with a 33 point margin heading into the final weeks. Humfeld, also searching for his first track title is on his way, but any hiccup, such as an accident on the track, a flat tire, or mechanical troubles could bring Greg Scheck and Matt Inglett right back into contention.
The United Auto Supply Thunderstox is the tightest battle at the track. Two young guns, Tom Luethe and Dakota Miller are both tied for the Championship lead, and neither has ever won a track title. And, for the Window World Hornets, former Champion Mark Bornitz leads by twelve over Kim Strom, always a top three runner, but yet to win the title.
Will you be there this weekend to cheer your favorite drivers on?
