April 16, 2010 West Salem, WI – Area race fans are in for a treat this season, with a great schedule of racing events on hand. New this year will be a 200 lap Enduro this week prior, to opening night for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
On Saturday, it’s the Inaugural Spring Fling Enduro 200. Always known for constant action, thrills, spills, spins and crashes, the enduro races provide a race fan or thrill seeker a spectacle of fun. Cars competing in the enduro are small 4 and 6 cylinder cars, and drivers come from all over the region to compete in the action packed race. Pre-entries include several Thunderstox and Hornet drivers, and even some Late Model racers, such as Mike Carlson and Harley Jankowski. “It’s a great warm-up for the race season, and it’s a lot of fun,” commented Hornet Driver Matt Moore.
Grandstands open at 3:00 and the green flag waves on the 2010 season and the Spring Fling Enduro 200 at 4:00 p.m. General Admission is just $8, while kids 6-11 and students age 12-17 are just $2. Kids age 5 & under are free.
Next Saturday night, the 54th season commences as Budweiser presents all the action and excitement on two tracks, including the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, the North Country Contractors Sportsmen, and United Auto Supply Thunderstox. Plus, a wild Double-Spin-To-Win Novelty Race will add into the action. Don’t forget to save $3 off your adult admission, the coupon will be available in the LaCrosse Tribune next Friday and Saturday.
