(West Salem, WI.) Officials from LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway released today a new weekly award that will take place for its premier division, the NASCAR Late Models.
For the 2012 season, the driver whom improves his position (starting grid position to finishing position) the most during each Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model feature will receive an Outback Steakhouse Dinner Certificate. This new award will be titled the “OutBACK To the Front” award.
“This is a new way to bring out some of the suspense that takes place mid-pack during a race, besides any battles for the lead that may be happening,” commented Race Director Jeff Garbers. “It should be a lot of fun to watch.”
The first OutBACK To the Front award will take place on Saturday, April 28th, on opening night of the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season. In addition to the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, the North Country Contractors Sportsmen, United Auto Supply Thunderstox and Volden Construction Outlawz will be in action. Grandstands open at 6:00, Qualifying at 6:15 and the first race at 7:30.
