MOTHER NATURE THE BIG WINNER AT LA CROSSE

By: Paul Reichert

After two exciting weeks of racing, Mother Nature put a damper on the racing action at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday night. A brief shower interrupted practice earlier in the day. After track drying was completed, qualifying took place for the NASCAR Late Models, Sportsmen, Thunderstox and Street Stocks. Just as pre-race ceremonies ended and racing action was ready to begin, heavier rain returned to stop the racing before it ever got started.

Action continues next Saturday night, June 9th, with the NASCAR Late Models, Sportsmen, Thunderstox, Hornets, Mini-Vans and Double Spin to Win for the Thunderstox, plus it’s Kids’ Night. All kids 11 and under are admitted FREE to the races and get a FREE Klements Hot Dog. Gates open at 6pm, qualifying at 6:15pm and racing starts at 7:30pm.
