ANOTHER FRUSTRATING NIGHT FOR EVERYBODY AT LA CROSSE

By: Paul Reichert

The weather looked good to get racing action in at the LaCrosse Speedway during practice. As qualifying started, the clouds moved in and the rain showed up just after the Thunderstox finished up. Eckelberg Racing entertained us from the pits with their version of ‘Singing in the Rain’, but it would be another night of frustration. Management, the fans, the drivers and the race teams just want to go racing. A second straight wash out and another night lost to Mother Nature. Will there be an additional night of double features in our future? According to Tim Pierce, “We will look at the schedule and weigh our options on any future nights of racing with double features. We hope this is the last of the rain disruptions we encounter this season.”

Action continues next Saturday night, June 16th with the NASCAR Late Models, Sportsmen, Thunderstox, Street Stocks and the annual Faster Pastor races. So come on out to the races and root your pastor or minister on to victory. Gates open at 6pm, qualifying takes place at 6:15pm and the racing starts at 7:30pm.
