H’S FORCE RACING CANCELLATION AT LACROSSE

H20, Heat and Humidity have forced the cancellation of the July 23rd race events at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

Persistent rains during the day and the likelihood of intermittent rain throughout the evening, combined with high humidity and excessive heat were all factors on making the decision. “We have a limited number of events and losing any of them to inclement weather is hard on us, the race teams, and the fans,” stated Speedway Promotions Director Dave Noelke. “Yet, at some point a decision has to be made.

“The factors that would provide our teams and fans with a fun and competitive event are not in our favor for tonight’s event. We try to wait until the last possible moment to make the cancellation decision like this, however, today we felt it would be better to cancel now than try to hold out hoping for a break in the weather later on,” Noelke concluded.

Racing action is slated to continue next Saturday, July 30th, featuring the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen, Auto Value Thunderstox, Auto Value Street Stocks, and a novelty event. Gates open at 6pm and racing will commence at 7:30 pm. For more information visit our website at www.lacrossespeedway.com.
