BIG WEEKEND FEATURES DESTRUCTION, THRILLS AND CARS

September 9, 2015 – (West Salem, WI) –  A weekend of fun times is ahead at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway this weekend as two events are headed your way on Friday and Saturday night.

FRIDAY NIGHT STREET DRAGS
Friday night features the street car drag racing fun of Premier Powdercoating Street Drags!  You can race or you can watch; you decide, but either way it’s a lot of fun with friends and family.  You can race your car, truck, cycle, SUV, or ATV in one of the many scheduled brackets of drag race fun.  Brackets include Tuners, 4×4’s, diesels, mini-vans, muscle cars, pro drag cars, performance vehicles and all stock classes.

Plus, there’s a Shine N’ Show contest to show off all the hard work you have in your vehicle. Make some smoke and noise to the delight of the crowd in the Burnout contest!

It’s the final Friday Night Street Drags of 2015, so be sure to be there for the FUN!  The final event on the 2015 calendar is the 300′ Bracket Nationals, on Saturday afternoon October 17th at 2pm.

General Admission is $7, Students age 12-17 are $5 and kids age 11 & under are FREE.  Pit passes for all ages are $7.  Registration to compete is $5 per bracket.  It’s time to get on out and beat the competition and earn a trophy and bragging rights!

SATURDAY NIGHT DESTRUCTION
It’s time for the BIG ONE… Western Technical College presents the 24th Annual EVE OF DESTRUCTION this Saturday night!   It’s a night of mechanical mayhem and madness as thrill seekers will watch the Green Mamba melt down and entire car, and the Mechanical Mischief and Incinerator Monster Trucks demolish many automobiles.

Benny the Human Bomb will blow himself up TWICE… in a car and in an outhouse!  Of course, then there’s the fan favorite Trailer Race of Destruction where nearly anything goes and if it can be wrecked, it will!

Plus, watch many stunts including a DOUBLE Steel Wall Crash, Roll Over contest and more.  The ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornets are racing for a championship (Ends Oct. 8th) and drivers will be chasing points and the top trophy.  All fighting for their first track championship, Nate Towner, Garrett Thicke, Hunter Miller and Kris Berg are all separated by just 22 points and any could be the season champion.  You can bet they will all be looking for a heat and feature win.

General Admission is $20, Students age 12-17 are $10, Kids age 6-11 are $6, and children age 5 & under are FREE.  Gates open at 5:30 and the FUN starts at 7:00 pm.  Be sure to arrive early to get a good spot to sit and avoid waiting in line at the box office!

Note: The Mississippi Mayhem custom and classic car show will be taking place inside the main part of the fairgrounds, so Friday and Saturday night guests may only access grandstands gate by the north east and north west corners of the outside parking areas.
