June 11, 2015 – (West Salem, WI) – Get ready thrill seekers for an action packed weekend at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway! It’s a doubleheader of action and excitement this Friday and Saturday night.
Friday night features round two of the 2015 Premier Powdercoating Street Drags. Come on out and register your own car, truck, cycle, ATV, SUV or Mini-van into a bracket of Drag Racing competition.
Brackets include the popular “Open Class” (open to any high performance machine), Detroit Iron, Tuners, High Skool, Trucks, Diesel Trucks, NOS / Turbo, Cycles, ATV’s, Mini-Vans, Mustangs, domestic cars, and many performance brackets.
There’s also the popular burnout contest! Who can make the most noise? The most Smoke? Blow out a tire? Find out on Friday night at Street Drags. For the classics, there’s a Shine N’ Show contest. Line them up on the backstretch of the quarter mile oval and judges will pick winners for showing off their car or truck.
Bring your family, bring your friends, or bring both. It’s a lot of Fun!
Gates open at 6:00, Practice Runs / Grudge Matches start at 6:45, and the First Bracket starts at 7:30. Grandstand General Admission is $7, Students age 12-17 are $5, Kids age 11 & under are Free. Then on Saturday night, feel the rumble and hear the thunder of TWO monster trucks, featuring “The Incinerator” -vs.- “Mechanical Mischief!” They will crush entire cars like they’re soda cans as they go head to head in a freestyle competition for the title.
Thrill seekers will also get to see the Vertical Mischief Motorcycle Stuntmen show, a wild n’ crazy Figure-8 Boat Race, a “Trash the Trailer” T-Bone Crash, Steel Wall Crash, Roll Over Contest and the racing action of the ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornets.
It’s all presented by the Wisconsin Lottery, and the FIRST 500 Adults will receive a FREE scratch-off Wisconsin Lottery Ticket!
Gates open at 6:00 and the FUN starts at 7:30. Grandstand general admission is $15, Students age 12-17 are $8, and Kids age 6-11 are $5, Children age 5 & under are FREE.
