FIREWORKS, TUNDRA SUPER LATE MODELS HIGHLIGHT THIS FRIDAY NIGHT

June 30, 2015 – (West Salem, WI) – It’s a new week, and a race fans are in for a special treat this Friday night! It’s the Star Spangled Spectacular, Friday night, July 3rd.

The superstars of the traveling TUNDRA Super Late Model Series invade the LaCrosse Speedway Friday night for 40 laps of feature racing. Watch touring top guns like Casey Johnson, Dalton Zehr and Jeremy Lepak take on young guns Austin Nason, Reagan May (2014 LaCrosse TUNDRA Winner), Caleb Adrian and Natalie Decker. Then add in the mix of local racers Adam Degenhardt, Jack Litsheim, and the hottest young driver on asphalt Ty Majeski (current 2015 TUNDRA Points Leader and 2015 ARCA Midwest Tour Points Leader). It’s a star-studded field that also features Corey Jankowski and Skylar Holzhausen.

In addition to the TUNDRA cars & stars is the action of the Great Northern Sportsmen Series. Area sportsmen drivers and cars from area tracks take it to LaCrosse for a mid-season shootout. How will local drivers such as Jake Arneson, Jimmy Gilster, Brian Hesselberg and Dean’s Satellite Sportsmen point leader Nick Clements fare against the field on their home turf? Check it out this Friday night!

Of course, there’s the quarter mile action track excitement as well. The Auto Value Thunderstox will race in heats and a feature, plus the popular annual “Race in Total Darkness!” And watch the horses let loose during the Mountain Dew Outlawz race as they thunder around the quarter mile.

After the last checkered flag drops on the racing events, the lights go out and there’s a Huge Fireworks Extravaganza to help celebrate Independence Day and salute the United States of America!

It’s the only Super Late Model race of the summer at LaCrosse prior to the Oktoberfest Race Weekend! Be there for all the great racing excitement!

Gates open at 6:00, qualifying starts at 6:15, and the racing starts at 7:30. Grandstand general admission is $14, Students age 12-17 are $7, and Kids age 6-11 are $3, Children age 5 & under are FREE.
