ALL KIDS 11 & UNDER IN FREE THIS SATURDAY

(West Salem, WI – July 21, 2011) It’s a night of family fun at the Speedway this Saturday night, as STATE BANK FINANCIAL presents the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action. Come on out and watch the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, the North Country Contractors Sportsmen, and United Auto Supply Thunderstox all battle it out on the track.

The Thunderstox drivers will be racing to win in the OUTHOUSE RACEnovelty event and the Volden Counstruction Outlawz will take their battle back to the track. Can the John Olson express be beat again? He’s been too tough to tame, but Tim Steinhoff was able to defeat the 2010 champ last time they raced.

In the Late Models last week, the drivers took the challenge of racing two features. This season’s toughest driver Brent Kirchner took another win, and it was also a good night for J. Herbst who won the first and then returned to the point lead for the first time this summer.

Greg Scheck won his first feature of the year, just edging hard chargin’ Jake Arneson, who was looking for his second career Sportsmen win. Arneson nearly won, and also nearly crashed, as he muscled his steering wheel dirt trackin’ style through turn 4 on the final lap and came up just short of the win.

Thunderstox front-runner Andy Moore took his third feature win of the season and is looking for another championship.

It’s also KIDS’ NIGHT, and all kids age 11 & Under will be admitted in absolutely FREE! Be sure to bring them out early for an on-track 10,000 PENNY GOLD RUSH at the Start-Finish line at 7:00, where kids can collect come cash, win prizes and just have FUN.

Gates open at 6:00, Qualifying is at 6:15, and the fun begins at 7:30. General admission is $11, Students age 12-17 with a Student I.D. are $5.
